  • About TCFY Teacher Training

    There are two options to obtain RYT 200 Teacher Training:

    Option 1:  Self-paced individual study on days and times convenient for you, mentorship, and certification given through private and group classes in person along with video-taped feedback.
    Option 2: Small group teacher training with group classes and online classes beginning in September of 2020.

    The Center For Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training School. This TT program has been designed to exceed the 200 hour Teacher Training program standards for registration with the Yoga Alliance (www.YogaAlliance.org). Upon completed of all required hours, you will be eligible to apply to the Yoga Alliance for a 200 level certification. The TT program at The Center for Yoga offers a unique journey to those in search of deepening their yoga practice and knowledge through the Teacher Training program. Led by Othene, E-RYT500, this program provides an educational curriculum, experienced feedback, and a greater understanding to the practice of yoga. Classes are held in beautiful Midtown, Atlanta. 200 hours of shared time, space and energy with the foundations of:

    • Yoga Philosophy
    • Anatomy
    • Yoga Asana (Modifications, Variations & Sequencing)
    • Subtle Energy
    • Business of Yoga
    • Guest Teachers/Speakers
    • Mentor Program
    • Meditation
    • Mythology
    • Breath Practices
  • The Teacher Training Commitment:

    Attendance: 100% attendance is required during this program. However, we understand that emergencies can come up unexpected – it will be up to the teacher in training to schedule a time for a make-up session.
    Tuition: The tuition fee is $4,000 for group classes (Private YTT priced individually) – this includes your curriculum books, one asana class on YTT weekends and all workshops. It is recommended that you attend at least one additional asana class per week with Othene. Payment plans available. (upfront deposit of $444)

    Requirements:

    • You must have been practicing yoga asana for at least one year
    • You will need to attend a yoga class at TCFYoga prior for eligibility evaluation
    • You must submit an application
